Joshua Iz feat. Diz – It Iz What It Iz
In particular we’re focussed on the special ‘Miami edition’ Joshua Iz Vizual Dub here. It’s one of those tracks that instantly makes you go “oh hell yeeeah, this is what I’ve been waiting for” (well, I have those moments anyway!) but then it just keeps getting better and better. The ultra-crisp beats already had me hooked from the first bar, then a subtle synth stab works its way in, then Diz’s chopped up scatty vocal is introduced (has Diz ever not sounded amazing on a record?) and finally after being worked into a frenzy for 2 minutes a delicious subby, rolling bassline takes things up another notch. One of those records I could listen to on repeat all day and night. – LS
