F*** Me I’m Famous – Every Thursday – Pacha Ibiza

It’s flashy, its full-on and also ever so slightly trashy, yep the legendary F*** Me I’m Famous (FMIF) is back once again at glamour palace Pacha Ibiza. For 2010, David Guetta once again brings his army of big name friends out to play including Calvin Harris, Will.I.Am, Laidback Luke, Mark Knight and plenty more – all of whom will ensure that his weekly Thursday night parties go off with an almighty blinging bang.

It was way back in the 90s that Guetta and his wife Cathy created FMIF, inspired by the soaring to success of their Oh La La! nights at Amnesia that they devised to bring lesser known French DJs into the glittering spotlight of Ibiza. That and to create a kick-ass party of course. Today, it’s no secret that FMIF consistently goes from strength to strength, gaining further worldwide notoriety each year as the ultimate party. In conjunction with his ever-popular music, FMIF has catapulted Guetta into becoming one of most known and most successful DJs of his time. With a CV of chart topping hits, several of which have been in collaboration with some of the most of-the-moment artists including Akon, Chris Willis, Estelle and Kelly Rowland (on the unforgettable 2009 anthem When Love Takes Over) there’s certainly no denying this man’s fame.

Today the FMIF parties have become institutional to the Ibiza music scene, with feel-good house music that’s accessible to everyone at its core. On the back of that, the night has naturally gained a cult-like following of fashion-forward party seekers that flock to the night to get elegantly wasted. A night at FMIF is rather strangely akin to one massive 18-30s night out and it’s highly unlikely you’ll leave without at least hearing one spin of Sexy Bitch, One Love or Guetta’s latest number one, Gettin’ Over You belting out onto the jam-packed dance floor. With his over air-played tunes, you’re guaranteed to know all the words too (whether you like it or not) so get ready for a sing-a-long.It may be as commercial as it gets but at least it’s a given that with F*** Me I’m Famous you’re still guaranteed on the money good sounds & big shiny names putting in an appearance.
