Desolat

Not so long ago two great friends left their home country and moved over to Brooklyn, NY. On arrival at 7 Dunham Place, Brooklyn, they re-built their studio and began producing new tracks far away from the usual day-in day-
out madness of their lives back in Germany. A big move to make but this paid off heavily after producing their highly acclaimed joint album, you guessed it!!! 7 Dunham Place.

During the twelve months of creative and intimate isolation they also concocted an idea to fi nally put together a new label. It seemed the logical next step to take in their creative relationship. In July 2007 this idea became reality when Desolat was born.

Desolat is now a Düsseldorf-based label founded and run by Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich. Both Dice and Buttrich have had long-standing and well respected artistic careers in music. l This new challenge fi nally allowed them to create a unique platform to release music on they love and whenever they like.
